What CAA-Québec checks before recommending a business

CAA-Québec publishes the criteria for its network of recommended home businesses. They fall into four groups.

  • Credibility and competence. Years in business, required permits and licences, professional affiliations and a check of complaints.
  • Reputation. A customer survey on work quality, customer service and courtesy.
  • Compliance. Registration with the Registre des entreprises du Québec, tax numbers and civil liability insurance.
  • Solvency. A check of the business’s financial health.

In other words, before your first call, a third party has already looked at what you should have checked yourself: the licence, the insurance, the complaints and customer feedback.

What CAA-Québec members gain

A CAA-Québec member saves 3% on the invoice at a recommended home business, up to $100.
